Kande Pohe
Kande pohe - In Maharashtrian families, the formal meeting of the boy and girl for marriage engagement is referred to as Kande-pohe or Chaha-pohe. ...kande pohe with topping of grated coconut , chopped coriander and a slice of lemon. As the name sounds it is a traditional Maharastrian recipe of rice flakes ,mostly eaten for breakfast in Marathi homes . This is the dish you will expect to be made when you are a guest at any Marathi home and no matter what time of the day it is we offer this usually with tea to our guest .
The most amazing aspect about this dish is that it is being made from years till today and despite the advent of many other dishes is still the key dish in traditional Marathi families.
Even Kellogg’s could not replace it 😊
