Its different

This year, its Festivals & New Years eve is different

I still remember these fag end days of 2019...where we were all gearing for welcoming new year 2020....truly this year has two zeros in it but no one have ever wondered it will make entire world's life to be zero... Anyways...Looking at this entire year... It was full of tension, pain, fear that is consistently hammering us, some have suffered and some are still suffering. All are taking steps to come out of this and come back to normal life... While we do this we have these getting to celebrate festivals one after the other right from Gouri ganeshotsav, navratri, Dushehra, Diwali and now its Christmas and finally New Year eve..... Its totally different this time....

During these festivals is not about having a grand vacation at an exotic location or any other location on this earth or having my house is sparkling clean and decked up for these festivals for guests to come, it is not about whether I have prepared a variety of mithais, cakes and namkeens, it is not about whether I have that perfect ethnic attire and jewelry for the occasions, it is not about a bucketful of bucks I would be spending on shopping and firecrackers, it is not even about whether I got a promotion or a raise...

This year it is more about Survival. It is about being grateful that we are still able to breathe and alive for this day. It is about being thankful for the love and care from our loved ones, It about being with the family under one roof and spending time together, It is about lighting a Diya for all those dear and near souls who left us, It is about extending support and spreading cheer to family and friends who have lost their people...It is about spreading happiness to those who have suffered losses in jobs and businesses...

Now finally we are hearing the vaccine is making entry and citizens are being given...its really a great sigh of relief though fear of side effects, how marketing goons will extract money from poor is still prominently exists.

This year its different.....so lets pray and hope for the better days...days with normal life...days of cheer and happiness...

Wishing you all Festive seasons and a wonderful new Year.

Cheers!!

  1. This year has been definitely different. It's gods way of teaching us humans to reassign priorities to things in life. If not now human will never understand true meaning of life...

  3. Yes, we learned a lot during Covid. Money is not important over health, understand the value of joint family.
If we treat this as opportunity we will see the world differently.
    Less polluted cites
    Less crowded metros
    Work from home culture and
    Many more..
Pray for those who lost their life. Hope we will receive the vaccine soon and available to all in low cost.

  4. Very well explained, the year 2020 will Come up with mixed reactions, those who is Working from home got a chance to connect more with family and for some one it's a nightmare. But life is all about the perception and attitude, the way we carry ourselves in tough situations will make us more strong through our approach. Finally I would say we are step away from vaccine so be happy and on another side don't through it away as the pandemic is still on.... Enjoy the Christmas and New year with family

  5. Cannot agree more Rashit. The tiny virus has brought the human race to its knees and reiterated the simple fact that they are not the dominant species and have to co-exist in a symbiotic manner with the nature around. True..2020 has to be celebrated just for hanging in and surviving. This year has taught many invaluable lessons and we will be better off to learn from them. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
