What is communication?   Let’s go back to basics.   What we  mean by communication?   Communication is simply the act of  creating,  transferring  views, ideas,   facts, feelings  from one  person  to another person  or group  of people . It’s a  simple answer , but there’s a lot more to it.   A person may be highly qualified and / or skilled but if he does not possess good communications skills, all his / her abilities  become  irrelevant.   Importance of Communication :   Be it social life or in professional life, if you possess good communication skill you can win anything.   Sometime back I was looking for what the statement in German would mean in English. Normally I turn to my daughter who is pursuing German and Korean recently for any of the translations required for my work and writings. At this age she is  conversant with almost 7 languages. So she is live thesaurus for me.  However, I see many of my colleagues and friends tend to go to free web sites for their quick translation of sentences. If you’ve ever taken a foreign language course, teachers and professors always remind students not to use online Translation as a tool for completing assignments. Still, many students go ahead and put their English essays into the online translation websites in order to get their nicely translated Spanish or italian essay out to impress the teachers and examiners. I belong to a generation when we walked to school & back. Playing hide & seek with friends after dusk. For us Playing carrom  & chess used to be luxury games, making boats and making them float in the rain water accumulated in ditches besides road.  Enjoying missal with masala misal with peanuts  at 50 paise is like big treat from mutyan misal gadi parked outside our school before we enter ground, cycling on the streets, on rent at 25 paise per half  hour and that too if you are taking giddi cycle he used to charge 50 paise per half hour. What a feeling on those drives.. Mind blowing...  We watched hindi movie on DD on every Sunday evening. Just used to pray to get some good movies but alas many times the films were not so good but still we see till "The End".  ಮೊನ್ನೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡ್ತಿ ತವರುಮನೆಯವರು ಕಡೆ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮುಂಜಿವಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಮುಂಜಿವಿ ಮಣಿ ಗೆ ಏನ ಆಹೇರ್ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಏನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನೋದೆ ತಿಳಿಲಾರದಂಗ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ನನ್ ಹೆಂಡ್ತಿ ಬಂದು ಏನ್ ಕೊಡದು ಅಂತ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರೇನು  ಅಂತ ಕೇಳೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟಳು. ಇನ್ನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ ಮಾರಾಯ್ತಿ ತಡಿ ಅಂತಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆ. ಆಯಿತು ನೀವಿ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿ ಗಿಫ್ಟ ತರೊ ವರೆಗೂ ಉಪನಯನ ಮುಗಿದ ಹೋಗಿರತ್ತೆ ಅಂತ ಗೊಣಗಿದಳು. ಲಗೂನೆ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡ್ರೀ ನಾಳೆ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ರಾಗ ಬೇರೆ ಎಳೆದಳು. ನನಗೇನು ತಿಳಿಲಾರದಂಗ ಆಗಿದೆ ನೀನ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳು ಅಂತಂದೆ. ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಕೇಳಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಡ್ರಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಒಂದು ಪಾಕಿಟ್ ಒಳಗ ಐದುನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಹುಡುಗನ ಕೈಯಾಗ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಆಯ್ತು ಅಂತ ಕನ್ಕ್ಲೂಜನ್ ಗೆ ಬಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಲು. ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಕುತ್ತ ನಮ್ಮಪ್ಪ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆ ಇದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಪಾಕೀಟು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಅಂಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ನನಗ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಇದನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊ ಅಂದರು. ಈ ಥರ ಒಂದು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಅಂಟಿಸಿದ ಪಾಕಿಟ್ ಎಂದೂ ನೋಡಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಒಂದು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಯಾಕೆ ಮ್ಯಾಲೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂತ ಸಣ್ಣ ಹುಡುಗ ನಂಗ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳಿದೆ. ಅವಾಗ ಅವರು ಸಿಂಗ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಹಾವೇರಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಸರಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಇದ್ದ ಹಣ ಕೊಡಬಾರದು. ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಒಂದು ನೂರು, ಎರಡುನೂರು ಹಿಂಗ ಕೊಡಲಾರದ ಒಂದು ನೂರ ಒಂದು ಎರಡು ನೂರ...
